A technology platform for influencers, solopreneurs, creators, and small and mid-sized businesses to set up an online shop in minutes without coding or subscription.
This documentation will guide you through checkout settings in the Windo app.
Checkout Settings
Checkout settings is a free feature and is available for all shop creators. Let’s get started with the walkthrough to checkout settings. Under checkout settings, two major settings are payment rules and login settings. Under payment rules, you can choose the payment methods you want to offer customers. Under login settings, you can provide different login options to customers during checkout. Follow the steps to learn to set up checkout settings.
Open the Windo app.
Tap on the Settings tab below.
Scroll down to Customize Shop Website.
Tap on Checkout settings.
Choose Payment rules to choose payment methods.
Choose Login settings to choose login options.
Payment Rules Settings
Under payment rules, you can choose the payment modes you want to offer customers. Follow the steps below to set up payment rules.
Under Checkout settings, tap on payment rules.
If you do not have any payments set up, tap on Activate Payments.
Enable Online mode to offer online payments to customers.
Enable Manual mode to offer payments in cash to customers.
Online payment mode
After enabling the online mode, you will see a list of available payment gateways for your country.
Integrate a payment gateway with your shop by tapping Connect.
Follow the displayed steps to integrate a payment gateway with your Windo shop.
Manual Payment Mode
After enabling manual mode, you will see two options here.
You can enable cash payments and offer custom payment methods specific to your country (Venmo, UPI, or bank transfer etc.).
Once you’ve enabled manual mode, tap the back button and tap on Payment Rules again to be able to set rules.+
Check Cash to accept payments in cash.
You can set payment rules for cash payments for customers.
You can set an optional minimum and maximum cart value here, within which customers can avail cash payments beyond or up to a certain cart value.
You can set advanced rules under the Advanced Rules dropdown.
You can set up additional fees and discount amounts here.
Under Additional fee, you can set up additional charges in percentage and a maximum charge rate or only a flat rate.
Under Discount, you can set up discount rates in percentage and a maximum discount rate or only a flat rate.
Under Partial Advance Amount, you can set a percentage or amount customers can pay as a partial advance amount during checkout.
Tap Save to save your changes
Check Custom Payments to offer custom payment methods to customers.
You can provide payment methods specific to your country like UPI, Venmo, or bank transfer.
Tap Add to add a custom payment method name and details.
Check Upload Payment Screenshot to Confirm the Order to make customers upload payment screenshots after payment.
Tap Save to save your changes.
Go back and enter Payment rules settings again to set rules for custom payments.
Like Cash payments, you can set a minimum and maximum cart value for custom payments.
In Advanced rules, you can set up additional fees and discount rates like you can do for cash payments.
If you have only enabled manual mode and want to enable online mode later, follow the steps below.
Open the Windo app.
Tap on Payments.
Tap on the Overview tab.
Tap on the Payment Settings.
You can enable, disable or modify online or manual payment modes here.
Login Settings
Here, you can offer multiple login options at checkout for users. Users can avail of Guest login, WhatsApp-based login, Google login, and more during checkout.
Under Checkout settings, tap on Login settings.
You can see various login options like email and OTP, Google login, Guest login, WhatsApp and OTP, and phone and OTP login.
Guest login, WhatsApp and OTP, and phone and OTP login are premium features, so only users who have subscribed to a plan can offer these login options during checkout.
Other users can offer Google login and email, and OTP.
Tap Save to save your changes.
You have now successfully set up your checkout settings.
